first painted self-portrait

I am terribly proud of this. This is my first painted portrait. We had to emulate an artists pose for this one. I chose Close's "Big Self-Portrait" and imposed color. I don't smoke so I omitted the cigarette for an origami flower! Yay!

Anyway, it was a real challenge because it's so small compared to Chuck Close's...which is 8' tall. I'm really happy I gave it a try.
